A Coventry Way Challenge (hereafter known as the "Event") is
open to all persons aged 18 or over on the day of the Event.
Younger entrants are allowed but must be either: a) a member of
the LDWA (those under 16 must be accompanied at all times by an
adult), or b) if a non-member, must be accompanied at all times by
a parent or legal guardian. In either case the relevant
adult/parent/guardian must sign the Entry Form. (If you
wish to use the SiEntries On-line entry option
please also download and fill in an official entry form as well but only complete your name and
contact details, but write "using On-Line entry for all other
Times and starting points are as stated below.
All classes must be completed by 21.00 (i.e.
a 16 hour time limit for 05:00 starters) and participants
must pass through each checkpoint in the correct order.
Each entrant must register a few minutes before the intended
start time to receive/check details of any route changes.
The route description will show checkpoint closing times.
Entrants must leave each checkpoint before the closing time.
Anyone arriving after the closing time
Retiring entrants must advise us that they have retired and
help to ensure that this is recorded on the CP Control Sheets at a
checkpoint. Transport back to the finish will be arranged
wherever practicable as soon as possible. In an emergency -
if retiring entrants cannot reach a checkpoint - they
the Start/Finish Point OR inform another entrant giving them their
Name & Number for the other entrant to hand in at the next
checkpoint. A mobile telephone number
will be provided at the start.
Under no circumstances retire without telling the organisers!
The checkpoint marshal may retire anyone showing signs of
undue stress or who has broken the rules.
Entries may be made on-line via SiEntries - the preferred method of entry,
or by completing an official entry form and posting it, along with payment, to the address shown
on the form. If using the latter method, only one entry per
form is permitted. Any other forms are NOT acceptable.
The entry fee is £20 (entry on the day
NOT allowed) or for relays £40/team, which
include cost of 40 page annually updated A5 "Map & Route
Description" booklet (cheques payable to 'ACWA'). The
organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry and return the
full fee. Entries to be received
by 1st March 2020 or WHEN LIMIT IS REACHED.
All successful finishers will receive a certificate. T-shirts, and a woven badge,
if available, will be on sale at the finish for successful finishers.

all check points - this is your responsibility.
Dogs are NOT
allowed. This is to prevent disturbing farm
animals or impeding other walkers.
PLEASE WALK WHEN APPROACHING
In all matters the decision of the organisers is final.
Recommended Start Times are shown in Table 1
below. The "Walker/Runner" start times are an option for
those who expect to Walk part of the way, Run part of the way, or
fast Walkers, or slow Runners. Start times should be chosen
so that you will pass through all checkpoints and reach the finish
during the opening times shown in Table 2
Registration from 05:00
Start times are flexible. However:
Any WALKERS, whether individual or relay
teams, MUST start between 05:00 and
07:30.. Any RUNNERS, whether
individual or relay teams, MUST start between
07:00 and 09:30
ALL categories of entrants must bear in mind the check
point opening and closing times. Please note opening
times of checkpoints in Table 2 below. Plan your start times
so you pass through checkpoints when they are open.
Competitors must understand that
no liability is accepted by the organisers for any injury, damage
or loss sustained by or in connection with the
