We made a significant start on the next Stile-Free walks -
Circular Walks 21 and 21A. As well as replacing the first
stile, we adjusted/re-installed all the sticking or not self-closing
metal gates on the route covered by notes 6 and 7.
We have also surveyed the whole route, and identified the tasks
required to complete the project.
The next Sunday session will be on:

above stile with k/g, and if turnout allows to also replace
the stile on the Berkeswell Road GR 244
We have reviewed our plans for future working
parties. We confirm we will continue to place some effort in
improving the remaining difficulties on the 40-mile walk, but
now will give more priority to creating further stile free
short (3 to 5 mile) circular walks. Work on the first (CWCW 21
& 21A) has started, and future plans are likely to include CWCW
17A and a 4 mile variation of CWCW 12 following the main route to
Grimes Bridge, then following the Oxford Canal to Note 8, then main
route back to Brinklow.
Date for the rest of 2006 is then as follows:
Dates for 2007 will be announced soon.
