November Achievements

On 18-Nov-2015 a WP did a thorough clearing of path which is paet of ACW 40-mile route beside A444 Bedworth Bypass.  We made really good use of all our cutting tools again, especially with our trimmer upgraded to a Bush Cutter.  After thinking we had completed our plans, we extended our scope by felling several rotten or leaning trees on the stretch running alongside the track of the old Mineral Line to the East of the Bypass.

Afterwards most of us went to the The Old Black Bank pub for lunch, which now fully opened and can be recommended.

An extra WP is now planned to help CCC repair the "massive sleeper bridge" on Circular Walk 1 east of Pickford Green on Wednesday 13th January 2016 - Details below &/or see http://www.acoventryway.org.uk/news-wp-063.htm for previous visit.

The next WP is due on on Wednesday 20th January 2016 - Details below.

Note that the WP to build the new boardwalk to extend the "long bridge to mud" to reach dry grass, north of Carol Green will not be possible until mid-2016.

A repair/modification of the 2 k/gs on path heading to Bubbenhall Churchyard, including laying concrete slabs and building steps from the second gate up to the field to the the SW/S - see Map for details

or New style map for details
Note that this map is an attempt to create a map in the new Preview version, but I lost the second gate - but I guess you know where it is?  I also can't add paths.  Anyone know how?  At least you can now choose OS background in the new Preview version at last.  But some way to go, and old version working again today, even though not yesterday.  Today (11-Jan-2016) both old and new version is "working" but the version which gets opened will probably be the version you last used!!?   Happy new year.
