We enhanced a stile on Circular Walk 11 just off ACW route at Brinklow, and installed 2 new waymark posts near the same site plus 1 new waymark post at the north end of Tutbury Lane. We also strimmed ACW between these points.

 

We had planned to replace the last stile by the Motte at Brinklow, but the authorisation papers from English Heritage did not arrive in time. Instead we did a few tidying up jobs just south of Brinklow.

That day was also the last day Richard Barnard was planning our WCC activities, so we started with a presentation to Richard in thanks for his help over many years. Richard’s job now moves to looking after the southern half of Warwickshire.

Although the tasks were small, the weather was great and we had an enjoyable day achieving a few useful improvements. By 1:00pm we were back at the Raven for lunch – and may have to be back again to replace that last stile.
