The task for today’s four-strong work party was to clear the ACW path round Birchley Hayes wood.

After we had finished we decided to have a go at moving the big tree which was suspended precariously across the path. We were able to lower the tree by using ropes, and by levering and bouncing on it we brought it down to ground level.

We now await the the Council to come and chainsaw and move it.
